‘The L.C.S. Short story Competition’ is open to all UK children aged between 7 & 15 years old.
All stories must be ‘A Dy in My Life’ themed and have their own title.
Stories must be written in English and can be typed or neatly hand written. We regret that stories will not be returned.
Submission of stories to ‘The L.C.S. Short Story Competition’ will be taken as consent for its publication on either the Leukaemia Cancer Society website, or in the Published Book. Stories must be the original work of the author and must not have been previously published.
No updated, revised versions of entries will be considered after initial entry.
Each entry must be supported with a £2 entry fee for the Leukaemia Cancer Society.
Schools are responsible for collecting all entry fees from participating pupils on behalf of the Leukaemia Cancer Society.
All entries submitted must arrive no later than the 20th March 2026.
Stories must be submitted, and entry fees paid, online with a completed entry form. A receipt for entry fees and donations will be sent within 21 days.
The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
